Policies for Medical Laboratory Transport:
Scheduling
Scheduling is a key component for efficient on-time delivery.
- Pick-up notifications must be provided by 4:00 pm on the previous business day.
- Driver(s) will begin their route based on the pick-up notifications provided by 4:00 pm the day before.
Cancellations
- Cancellation pick-up stops received prior to in route process will not incur any additional charges or mileage fees.
- Mileage charges will be incurred for any cancellation during the pick-up in route process.
Add-On Pick-Up(s) and Change Order Fees
- If an additional pick-up is added after 8:00 am on pick-up day a change order fee of $25 will be added to the pick-up stop charge.
Potential Delivery Delays
We feel it’s important to address potential delivery delays and our solutions to meet your delivery expectations.
Delivery Vehicle Breakdown
- If the vehicle can be fixed roadside, a vehicle assistance company will immediately be dispatched.
- If the vehicle is deemed completely inoperable, we will immediately dispatch another vehicle or, if necessary, due to delivery timing, a rental van will be dispatched.
Traffic Issues (Accidents, Construction)
- If traffic issues become a hindrance for making our scheduled delivery time, the driver will utilize GPS assistance to re-route and see if there is a quicker way by going around the traffic issue.
Weather Issues
- We want our drivers to be safe. If weather is bad but drivers can safely proceed to the drop off location at a slower speed, than delivery will be made.
